WELCOME TO MY STUDIO!
HISTORY
I must have been somewhere around five years old when I first picked up a pencil and started doodling. I never imagined that I could actively pursue art until I got into high school and had an amazing art teacher who encouraged me to develop my skills. After high school, I attended an art academy in Chicago for a short time, but the curriculum was mainly focused around commercial art rather than fine art. Even though I quit school, I kept drawing and painting. I focused mostly on celebrities and fan art of characters from movies/TV shows at first, but every now and then I would have someone ask me to draw a portrait for them. It was that exact situation that lead me into pet portrait art.
A close friend commissioned a portrait of his wife’s beloved dog as a Christmas gift. They were both thrilled with the results and suggested that I find a way to offer pet portraits to a larger scale audience. After thinking it over for a while (and forcing myself to get over my fear of failure), I decided to open up a shop on Etsy and see what happened. The initial response was almost overwhelming. I started consistently getting commission requests and before I knew it, I had turned my hobby into an actual job.
Fast forward to today, and I could not be more happy that I made the decision to dive head first into the world of professional art. It is absolutely the most rewarding experience to be able to connect with my clients and create a one of a kind piece of art that they can cherish for the rest of their lives. I love sharing my talent with the world and my clients.
This journey has helped me grow both professionally and personally and I cannot wait to see what else is on the horizon! Thank you for stopping by my page and taking the time to get to know me. I hope I will hear from you soon regarding a portrait of your very own!
